abstract


The aim of this research is to compare the chemical kinetics achievement of active-cooperative learning and conventional learning for prospective teachers. The study is quasi-experimental research. The independent variables in this study are activecooperative learning and conventional learning. The dependent variable is achievement of studying the chemical kinetics on the reaction mechanism topic. The design study is a comparative post-test only design. Average learning achievement of reaction mechanism topics in the class that taught by active-cooperative learning and conventional learning are: 55.44 and 48.86 respectively. T-test using SPSS 20 were obtained significance () of 0.003 which is smaller than  (0.05) thus concluded that the chemical kinetics achievement on the reaction mechanisms topic with activecooperative learning higher than conventional learning.
